Additional Services:

Within the surgery we are fortunate to be able to work with other professionals to offer additional support to our registered patients. Presently we have the support of the Department of work and pensions and a Chaplain who offer appointments at the surgery, within our Non-NHS services we are able to offer a variety of medicals.

Chaplaincy


Within the Surgery we are lucky to have the support of a Chaplain who attends the surgery on Wednesday afternoons.

Within this service she is able offer someone to talk to for those who are in need. This can range from loneliness or bereavement to troubles in day-to-day life.  Our Chaplain, Julie, is here to offer advice or guidance to anyone in need.

Department of Work and Pension

At Greyfriars we pride ourselves on working with members of our community to gain the best support for our patients. As such we are currently working with the Department of Work and Pensions. On every alternative Friday, Tony a member of staff comes to Greyfriars surgery and offers support to patient who may need to discuss issues such as Universal Credit, Personal Insurance Payments or support with pensions.

Non-NHS Services


As part of Greyfriars surgery we can offer some additional services that are not included as part of the National Health Service, these can be medical reports for insurance companies or Medicals such as for HGV/LGV/Taxi/Elderly driving medicals etc.

Medical examinations for the above and for Insurance companies etc. are arranged by appointment only. The fees charged for these services are in accordance with the British Medical Association recommended scale of fees.
